My guys love the swing, especially Dylan. Being toddlers though, they can’t use a regular swing, and that is all we had for our swingset. Ours is an older wooden set that we received from some friends as a hand me down several years ago. We were blessed to be sent a great bucket toddler swing made by Gorilla Playsets.
As you can see, it could really use an upgrade! Luckily, there are tons of amazing swing set accessories available out there to enhance our set, and make it new all over again for the kids. And now that spring is here, I have every intention on sending these kids out back to play!
Before we received this toddler swing, I’d have to load the kids up into the van and bring them to the park for the twins to swing. I’ll admit, this didn’t happen as often as we’d like. Some nights, the girls have homework, and dinner needs to be cooked, and we just don’t get out of the house. But now, with a swing right in our backyard, if the big kids have homework, they can get it done inside at the kitchen table while I’m right out back!
I just love how the chains are coated with plastic on this swing- I don’t have to worry about the boys’ fingers being pinched, or the chains getting all rusted and gross. It’s so much better than those plastic tubes that they used to have on the chains that slid up and down. When you go to buy swing sets for your kids, you’ll see how different they are from those cheesy metal ones we had growing up! These sets are so much more permanent, and last through the years- as I said, our set has been around for almost a decade now, and I have no doubt it will last until the boys have outgrown it.
