It’s time to get the Duckle Dance Party started!  Wisharoo Park and Capezio have teamed up to present the Duckle Dance Sweepstakes where your child could win a dance scholarship!  I’m sure you’ve all heard of Capezio- the brand known for dance shoes, attire and accessories.  Wisharoo Park was originally introduced by airing as a children’s TV series on PBS stations across the country and is now rolling out as a dynamic multimedia program which includes the interactive website WisharooPark.com, DVDs and more.  Designed to help children age 3 – 6 recognize and appreciate their individuality, Wisharoo Park helps children discover and understand their personal strengths and put them on the road to developing greater self-esteem.

tapperNow that you know about the sponsors, let’s talk about the  prizes!  I received a fantastic Duckle Dance gift package with a retail value of more than $100 that consisted of:  Capezio Daisy ballet shoes, Capezio Jr. Tyette tap shoes, Capezio logo drawstring backpack, Limited Edition Do the Duckle commemorative tee shirt, Wisharoo Park 2-Disc 13 Episode DVD set, and six Wisharoo Park Wish Star finger puppets.  One of my awesome readers will win the same prize pack!

And then there’s the $500 dance scholarships that are up for grabs.  In order to qualify for one of those, you just need to enter the sweepstakes.  It’s easy- watch the Duckle Dance video below, and then have your kids either follow along or create their own set of moves to the music and capture it on video.  Upload their performance to either your facebook or youtube, and then visit www.wisharoopark.com/duckledance where you will submit the facebook or YouTube video link as part of the easy entry process.

We received our Duckle Dance prize pack on Friday, and were unable to watch the video until yesterday.  However, my kids sure had a blast wearing the tap shoes all weekend long during our power outage!  Ryan was especially fond of them and cried when we took them off of him.  I asked for them in Mia’s size- but I don’t think she’s been able to put them on for more than a few seconds.  As soon as the twins see the shoes, they want them on their feet!

I am so bummed that the video I captured of Ryan dancing his little heart out came out so dark, it’s not even worth sharing.  I’d taken it when the power was out, which is also when I took the above photos, and why they are so grainy from when I attempted to lighten them.  Now that they’ve seen the DVDs, I’m going to have to make another attempt so I can enter the contest!

Fun bonus freebie- “like” Wisharoo Park on facebook you can get three free songs — a $2.97 value!

Want to win your own prize pack from Wisharoo Park & Capezio that includes the above items?  It’s easy!  Just fill out the handy dandy form below!
