Holiday Gift Guide: Alphabeasts

Have you heard of Alphabeasts? They’re plushies that were created to help kids learn the alphabet while having fun playing.  Each of the 26 cuddly beasts is different, and each has it’s own story to tell.  They’re double sided, with an uppercase letter on one side and in a contrasting color, the coordinating lowercase letter on the other.

We were sent Dadildoit and Robbletop for Dylan and Ryan, although for some reason Ryan is  drawn to the “D” and Dylan the “R”, as you can see in the photos.  I think it’s pretty cool that they both happen to have orange as one side.  They have been playing with them  constantly since they arrived, tossing them up in the air and snuggling on them like a pillow when they’re tired.

We were also sent the Alphabet Book Set- 26 books, one for each letter, and of course featuring it’s corresponding beast.  They are board books, the perfect size for my toddler boys’ chubby  hands.  They come in a cute square box with a handle so it’s super easy to keep them all together.

The Alphabeasts are a fabulous way to help little ones get acquainted with letters and reading.  They come together to create words and solve problems, and to help kids learn and have fun doing so.  Mastering the alphabet is a huge step and pretty much the backbone of education.  Kids need to learn their letters to learn to read, write and of course then move on to other areas of education- you can’t read your science textbook if you don’t know your alphabet!  I think that by making the basic lesson of the alphabet a fun will hopefully spark a desire to learn for the boys.

They are a huge hit with my kids, and not just the twins.  My girls have even been found playing with the plushies and reading the books to their brothers.   So if you’re looking for a great educational yet fun gift, check out Alphabeasts!
