It’s the last days of school, and that means it’s time to put together teacher appreciate gifts! One year, I made cute boxes full of necessities for Lili’s teachers. She had two that year. They were fairly cheap and easy, and a big hit. They were a lot of fun to make as well.
This year, Mia has a male teacher, so while one of those boxes probably would have been OK for him if I stuck to less scrolly and pink designs, I decided to go another direction entirely. While we were at Target the other afternoon, I saw some cute lidded tumblers with straws and remembered an idea I’d seen on a few blogs and on Pinterest. I grabbed a bunch of single serving drink mixes, fancy straws, and a pack of palm tree and pineapple table confetti and threw them together in just a few minutes.

I really packed in a lot of drink mixes, and then slid the confetti down the sides. I put two of the fancy straws in the big straw that came with the cup. The one cup is a hot pink, not the red like the photos show. I need to put some sort of To/From note on it with a cutesy saying still- probably ‘Thanks for quenching my thirst for knowledge this year!’

I’ve seen those a couple of times on Pinterest…they look great! Love the drink confetti, too. I know how much teachers appreciate thoughtful gifts – so nice.

I got a tumbler package this year.
It said, “Thanks for being a great “ade” in our classroom.” Lol!
That’s cute!
A friends husband is a teacher and one year he got 14 boxes of chocolate . . . Your ideas are much better!
When my mom still taught elementary school she always got a million apple mugs and Christmas ornaments LOL
I love this idea so much, I had to steal it so my son can make my husbands gift. I posted about it and of course acknowledged where I found the idea from!!
