Today’s the day!

Alright, today is day one of my weight loss journey with Shaklee‘s Cinch program. I’ve been weighed, I’ve been measured, and I’m ready to go.  I’d like to lose 58 pounds total, but I know that probably won’t happen during my 6 months on Cinch.  But I think 1.5 pounds a week (a least 6 pounds a month) is a reasonable goal, don’t you?  So overall, that would put me at 36 pounds or more lost at the end of the program.

LilySlim Weight loss tickersSo far today I’ve tried the chocolate shake, pomegranate energy tea and the lemon cranberry snack bar.  Let me tell you, I was awfully tempted to open up all of the snack and meal bars and take a taste of them, the flavors sound so good. And as a bonus, there’s a great resource with recipes- healthy foods to add to your shakes- to change things up!

So this is me, letting you all know how much extra weight I’m carrying- so that you can hold me accountable during this journey! I’ve even taken ‘before’ photos, but I’m hoping to be super successful and have decided to wait until I have some amazing ‘after’ photos to put up along side of them. Additionally, I added a link to the menu bar on my blog so you can skip right to these Cinch related posts if you want to.

I started jogging May 16th doing an 18 minute mile, since then I’ve logged 45 miles and gotten to a 12 minute pace. I started boot camp today, which is whooping my BUTT and making me realize how long I have let self-care fall to the way side while I’ve tended to the kids. The best gift Mamas can give their children is a happy, healthy, energetic Mama. Good luck! You can do it!

Go, you! You will do it. Can’t wait to celebrate with you.
