Whenever I hear the word ‘Mango’ my mind immediately goes to the Saturday Night Live skit with Chris Kattan…
Can you know the mighty ocean? Can you lasso a star from the sky? Can you say to a rainbow… ‘Hey, stop being a rainbow for a second’? No! Such is Mango!
Is it just me?
Really?
Alrighty then.

I have noticed lots of pregnant bloggers do this thing where they fill out all these questions each week, like if their belly button is in our out, and what their current weight gain is. So far, I’ve refrained from sharing most of that stuff for whatever reason. I never did it with the twins, but then again I didn’t post as often back then. I also don’t always remember to do the weekly updates. I figure I’ll just make up my own, with the stuff that I want to make note of.
Bacon This Week:
Digestive Issues: Finally, the nausea is gone (crosses fingers)! I haven’t been nauseous in over a week, and I haven’t gotten sick in probably two weeks. Thank Blog! The heartburn has been kept at bay as well, so far.
Cravings/Aversions: I’ve been so very thirsty lately. I can’t get enough to drink. The past couple of days I’ve craved Gatorade- I drank a lot of that when I was pregnant with Lili.
Assorted Aches & Pains: My back hurts like it would when I was much further along with other pregnancies. If I walk any significant amount- I want to cry and be carried. I don’t know how much the twins have to do with that though- since I am always dealing with them and holding their hands, putting them in and out of their car seats, shopping carts, stroller…
Energy: I am firmly in the second trimester now and still waiting for that surge of energy you’re supposed to get. I am constantly exhausted, yet have trouble staying asleep.
Movement: I’m feeling movement more and more each day. With the location of the placenta and Bacon being breech, it seems the most kicks I feel are directly to my bladder.
Names: Since we know Bacon is a boy, we need to come up with something that goes with the rest of our boy names, as well as our last name. This is pretty tough since we have so many boys in our family already! Ideally, I’d like a name with multiple syllables, no one-syllable nickname, ending in the letter N. You know, just like Bacon. Bonus points if there is a Y in it like Dylan and Ryan, but only if it’s the actual spelling- I hate ‘kre8tyve’ crap. I’m also open to something that totally doesn’t fit the criteria if I fall in love with it. So hit me up with suggestions!
Baby-Related Purchases: I bought a diaper cover on clearance, and a little boy preemie take home set off of Zulily. Nothing I can’t pass on to a pregnant friend if things don’t work out- for me, pregnancy isn’t real until after I pass viability (24 weeks) and even then it is iffy. The twins were summer babies, so even if I kept their newborn stuff, I would need to buy warm clothes for Bacon.
Countdown to Shopping:

Kyren is the name of one of my friends grandbaby
Tyler is a good name.
Kyle
Sawyer
Wyatt
Byron
Mason
second vote for Tyler
Tyson (my daughter was going to be Tyson)
Weston
Jayden
Hmm, I’m sure I can come up with more
Nathan
Mason
Aiden
Brayden
Jayden
I second Tyson, too…that’s cute
Not sure how I feel about the alliteration- Tyson Tate. TT.
Here’s my 2 cents.
Collin
Cayden
Logan
Cameron
Ronan
Jaxon
Ashton
Keaton
Hudson
Lincoln
I like Fynn, Flynn and Vaughn but they are one syllable.
One syllable just sounds so harsh with Tate. Logan is one that both Aaron and I agree on, but I’m not sure if it’s THE ONE.
As a mama to a Colin, I vote Colin! Our neighbor’s little one is Logan and it suits him nicely. I also like Declan. I wanted to use Declan, but everyone said it was too weird and out there. I think the Hayden/Brayden/Jayden/Aidan craze needs to be put to bed, no offense to those mamas, but they are EVERYWHERE!
