Polly Pocket Part Two

About a month ago, I mentioned receiving two Polly Pocket sets for the girls.  Mia’s birthday is October 9th, and I put those two away to give to her then.  Recently, another package of Polly Pocket products arrived in the mail- this time it included the Polly Pocket Playtime Pet Shop.  This is a big set which includes Polly and eight pets who are all waiting to be adopted.  There’s an elevator, slide and swing, plus places to bathe, feed and groom the pets.

My girls love animal toys, and I just know that these Polly Pocket sets will be the highlight of Mia’s birthday.  I love it because it’s a toy that sparks them to use their imaginations, not to mention the fact it doesn’t take batteries! I hate replacing them, and I often hate the obnoxious sounds toys that use batteries make.

The Polly Pocket Playtime Pet Shop retails for just $29.99.

As I mentioned during the previous review, I wish that these sets came with some way to store all the tiny pieces.  I feel like it wouldn’t be that difficult to incorporate a little drawer or something into the design of the play set.  Because of the small parts, I worry about younger siblings getting into it and swallowing them.

In addition to the play set, we also received a Polly Pocket DVD entitled “Friends Finish First”.  It’s a short (less than a half hour) video about friendship.  It teaches kids that friends are more important than winning.  You can watch an assortment of Polly Pocket videos online, at the Polly Pocket website, including “Friends Finish First”.

I’m looking forward to Mia’s reaction to her Polly Pocket filled birthday in a couple weeks, and I’m super proud of myself for keeping these gifts a secret!  She’s going to be so surprised!

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Mattel Polly Pocket. I received a product samples and a promotional item as a thank-you for participating.
