Every year there are a few must have toys that are hard to find during the holiday season.  I predict that one of the hottest gifts of 2012 will be the VTech Switch & Go Dinos!  If you have any boys ages 3-8 on your shopping list, I highly recommend checking these out.

When the package full of Switch & Go Dinos arrived, he boys were so excited- in fact, they spent a long time just checking out the pictures on the boxes before asking me to take the toys out.  And once I did, they started playing with them and have not stopped!  I couldn’t even get them to look at me so I could take photos of them playing with their new toys!

We received three VTech Switch & Go Dinos to review.  All three feature a dynamic LCD screen that comes to life with the push of a button and features cool driver and dino eyes animations, as well as realistic sound effects and phrases.  Add in the fact that these are two toys in one- and favorite types of toys as well (vehicles and dinosaurs) and it’s sure to be a hit!

Attila the Ankylosaurus (Yellow, retails for $24.99) transforms between a hefty construction vehicle with a tow hook and heavy duty dump trailer to an Ankylosaurus with a wrecking ball on the end of his tail to hit whatever gets in his way!

Span the Spinosauru (Blue, retails for $29.99) transforms from a fighter jet where kids can launch the food discs or save the included baby dino with the crane, cage, and rescue lift, to a Spinosaurus.

Brok the Brachiosaurus (Red, retails for $49.99) transforms from a massive car carrier that enables kids to load up and carry the included race car or launch the Pterodactyl into the air by pushing on the spoiler, to a Brachiosaurus.  In dino mode, Brok stomps his feet by pushing him along and move his motorized neck with the button control.

Show & Tell with Switch & Go Contest

VTech is running the Show & Tell with Switch & Go Video Contest* on their Facebook page right now.  A lucky kid is going to win a lifetime supply of VTech toys!  They want to know what dinosaur/car combo your child would like to see.  It’s super easy to enter- all you need to do is share a 30 second video of your child’s home-made Dino creation. They can show us their new Dino by drawing, building or customizing their existing Switch & Go Dino.  The best part is, you don’t need to own any of the Switch & Go Dinos to enter- so have your kids bust out the crayons and see what they come up with!
