Halloween Round Up!

Last year, I did several Halloween posts, and I thought it would be fun to put them all in one place for you guys quick reference!  I made a couple crafts, baked pumpkin cupcakes, and even threw a Halloween themed birthday party for Mia.  It’s my favorite holiday, and I’m excited to start celebrating now that it’s October!

Last year, the girls were super cute as a goth prom queen and a gothic rag doll.  The twins were a frog and a duck.  I think we are going to go with a pirate theme this year for the four kids.  Or maybe I’ll take my own advice for the twins and utilize one of the unique costume pairings I found.  You can check them all out in last year’s costumes here.

We were pretty crafty last fall!  We made personalized tote bags with glow in the dark paints for the kids to use as their trick or treat bags.  I made some adorable Halloween topiaries with candy corn and M&Ms.   And then the twins and I made a super cute and simple fall decoration that is easy to change out with the seasons.

I tried a recipe I found on pinterest, where you use canned pumpkin instead of the water, oil and eggs when making boxed cupcakes.  It came out so good, and I also made some pumpkin flavored frosting to go with them. The pumpkin cupcakes were a huge hit!

But I think the ultimate thing I pulled off last year was Mia’s Halloween themed birthday party.  It was so much fun to put together, and way easier than I thought it would be.  All the kids came in costumes and we had crafts and games planned.   The foods we picked were a huge hit well, even if it was semi-healthy with apples and carrots!

I’m looking forward to celebrating my favorite season this year!

I remember all the fun you had last year with Halloween. You topiary stuck in my mind, for sure! I have been thinking about you since I FINALLY found the Candy Corn M&Ms. I won’t be “wasting” those on a topiary, though! HA! They’re going in my tummy! ;)

I’m hoping to get a few friends together for a little Halloween party for our kiddos. I can’t wait! :)

Hope you have a fun time celebrating again this year!
