Walgreens has recently launched a new loyalty card, Balance Rewards, where you can earn points for items purchased, prescriptions filled and immunizations received- that can be traded in for cash off of future purchases.  Additionally, you will receive exclusive sale prices that are only available for Balance Rewards members.

I decided to check it out and downloaded the free app on my iPhone today.  With it, I was able to not just sign up for the Balance Rewards program, but I was also able to check out the weekly flyer and make a shopping list!

After I picked up the boys from school, we headed out to Walgreens to do some Halloween shopping.  I had purchased a few things for inside last year, when Mia had her birthday party, but the only outdoor decor we had were pumpkins, which of course go bad eventually.  I wanted something we could pack into our Halloween tote to use year after year.  I also wanted something fun to hang on the front door.

Dylan and Ryan helped me pick stuff out by looking through the flyer.  They both immediately noticed a box of Pop Tarts on the front page and wanted them!  They thought some of the masks and decorations were scary, but they liked the bright, cheerful things.  I was looking specifically for the tombstones I saw in the ad that were 3/$10, but they were out of them.

Instead, I picked up some black creepy cloth, glow in the dark spiders to stick into it, and a really cool strand of lights to hang on our front porch.  I also found a spider web wreath to hang on the front door.  I had E help me decorate our front door when he got home from school.  What do you think?  I can’t wait until it gets dark so we can see it all lit up!
