The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Halloween, that is- even if the song is a Christmas one.  But I just love October and all things fall.  Pumpkin, cool weather that’s not bitterly cold, kids are in school, Halloween candy everywhere… it’s lovely.

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are a staple in this house, it’s everyone’s favorite treat.  I don’t even want to admit to how many bags we’ve gone through this month- with none left for us to hand out to the trick or treaters.

A couple of weeks ago, Aaron’s squadron did a silent auction for baked goods to raise money towards the USMC Birthday Ball.  It was requested that I make my Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Cupcakes for it- and I find that the snack size are perfect for that.  My cupcakes brought in the second most amount of money- behind a basked of several different baked goods.

I guess we aren’t the only ones who love Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups!

E was a little sad that he wasn’t able to eat that batch of cupcakes, since they weren’t for the house- so he ended up creating his own Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup recipe- he made brownies and then dropped the pumpkin shaped peanut butter cups on the top- so each brownie was topped with one once cut.  They were amazing- and went so fast I wasn’t even able to snag a photo!  If you’re looking for some last minute crafts, recipes or ideas for Halloween, check out Hershey’s Boo Blvd.

What is your favorite Halloween candy?

I was provided Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups for this review thanks to Hershey’s and the Mom Blogger’s Club, although believe you me, we went through way more than the ones provided because we simply love them and have been purchasing them for years.

My favourite halloween candy was Kerr’s Molasses Kisses. Also, no one else liked them so I got lots!

I have made flourless chocolate cupcakes and dropped a peanut butter cup inside them and yep, everyone loves them.

I was thinking of making the cupcakes at christmas time and dropping a peppermint patty inside them!

Daniel is the only one in the house that likes Reese cups. Lee and I don’t like peanut butter. I know, we’re weird. So, Daniel gets to keep all those to himself after tonight.

Isn’t it great when you get something for free and you already know you love it? I got some free Lindor truffles the other day and felt so special! :)
