Ry-Guy Says:

RyanNow that the twins are mastering the fine art of talking, they are making us laugh on a regular basis.  Ryan in particular has a knack for saying hilarious things.  He’s a bit more verbal than Dylan right now.

For example, when I was in the hospital still, Aaron brought the twins to visit with me one day while the big kids were in school.  They had been planning on stopping for lunch on the way home, and he asked them what they wanted to eat.  Dylan wanted a cheeseburger, and Ryan requested chicken nuggets.  I said to Aaron- “Remember when Lili and Mia always asked for cheeseburgers and chicken, respectively?  I guess Dylan is in a burger phase and Ryan’s in a chicken phase.”

Well Ryan looked at me, put his hand on my cheek, and shouted, “I am not a chicken face!  YOU a chicken face!”

Ever since coming home from having Logan, the boys have been following me around, even when I use the restroom.  I think they’re afraid I’m leaving for a month again.  Since they’ve been witnessing me deal with all things postpartum, they’ve seen the package of pads- which happen to be folded into squares and wrapped in yellow.  Ryan has dubbed them ‘Sponge Bob napkins’.  I suppose they are absorbent…

And finally, just this morning Ryan had me laughing like crazy.  I’d pumped some milk for the baby and Ryan offered to put it in the fridge for me.  I asked him to wait a second because I needed to put a NICU label on the bottle, and once I did, he held it up to his better eye and scrutinized it.  He has this way of looking at things, he holds them really close to his face and kind of scans it sideways.  I really need to record him doing it soon.  Anyway, I asked him what he was doing and he told me he was reading the label.  He had it upside down.  I asked him what the label said, and he told me: “Suck this, baby Yogan!”

I suppose that is what baby Logan was supposed to do with the bottle of milk, but it was just so funny coming from him!

Kids say the funniest things, which is how I got my nickname “Aunt Vicki Cool Dude” & if you’re wondering, Mike is “Uncle Mike Cool Dude” too. When asking my eldest niece what would our kids be named if we had babies one day, she replied “kids, cool dudeS” — of course!

I love the Sponge Bob pads. Too funny!!

LMAO!! Kids say the funniest things. My kids call my pads “bandages”. They still don’t know what they’re for yet & that is definitely a conversation I am not ready to have with them yet, so I just let them think that for now.
