Best Daddy Ever #AveenoDad #MC #Sponsored

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for AVEENO. I received product samples to facilitate my review a promotional item to thank me for participating.

aveenoIf I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times- Aaron is the best father ever.  I was lucky, and had a sneak peek at his parenting before we married when I saw him interact with my oldest three.  Watching him with my boys just made me fall more in love.  He’s a hand’s on Dad, and I am so fortunate to be able to parent our eight alongside of him.

From diapers to doctor’s appointments, he’s always involved.  He’s not one of those types that ‘babysits’ his own kids, he is an equal parent.  When I was in the hospital more than an hour away for over a month during my pregnancy with Bacon, he was left to care for the rest of the family.  It was reassuring to know that I didn’t need to worry, because he had everything under control.  During that time, I had more than one friend tell me that they couldn’t say the same for their spouse.

Aaron is the one that brings Ryan to his appointments.  When we still lived in NC, that meant an eight hour drive and a several night stay each time- and Ryan was diagnosed at 4 months.  Even now that we’re only an hour away, Aaron brings him to his doctor’s visits.

Every night, the kids fight over who sits next to Aaron in his chair.  Even Mia and Lili will smush in next to him.

Another aspect of parenting that Aaron is always in charge of is bath time.  From the time the kids were tiny newborns, he’s always been the one to bathe them.  I remember when the twins first came home from the NICU, my mom was visiting and we ran to the store for something.  When we got home, we found Aaron giving one of the babies a bath, and the other was already clean and dry and in the crib.

Even though the twins are five year olds now, they still need help with washing their hair in the tub.  And of course Bacon is too little to give himself a bath as well.  So Aaron still is on bath duty in this house.  And now with the addition of the sandbox in the backyard, the boys frequently come in needing a really good scrubbing- especially to get the sand out of their hair! Lately we’ve been using Aveeno Baby products on our guys- they smell so good!  Aveeno Baby products are formulated with Active Naturals ingredients, such as soothing colloidal oatmeal, which help nourish, sooth and protect your baby’s sensitive skin.  I love knowing that these products are gentle and don’t irritate my kids, especially when washing their hair.  Every parent knows that kids go through that stage where they hate getting their hair washed and rinsed, and it’s nice to not have to worry about the soap hurting their eyes.  The Aveeno line of baby products includes more than just baby wash and shampoo- you can also find lotion, eczema care, diaper rash cream, and sunscreen
