Happy Mother’s Day!

As I hear about unhappy ladies everywhere, not amused with their husband’s lack of acknowledgement of them on Mother’s Day, I’m reminded again how amazing Aaron is to me.  We might not do traditional gifts, or go all out with our holidays, but he never fails to make me feel loved and appreciated.  He knows the way to my heart is coffee and not flowers!

My mom is amazing, and if I am half the woman she is, I will have done a good job with my kids.  My kids are my life, and my heart is full after hearing from all of them today.  It’d been a long time since all of them were in one place, but having everyone here over spring break will tide me over for awhile.  Now if only I can convince not just my mom, but my big boys to move down here, life wold be perfect.  I’m envisioning a huge Tate-commune… bliss.

And then there’s my mama friends- I don’t know what I’d do without them.  It’s been a long time since I had a local tribe of ladies that I felt comfortable with, to do things with.  And I really didn’t realize how much I missed and needed it!  I am pretty sure Aaron is just as thankful for you, because I don’t have to talk his ear off about girl stuff that he doesn’t care about any longer.  I love you ladies, you know who you are!

I know not everyone is a fan of Mother’s Day.  Perhaps your mom isn’t the greatest, or you’ve recently lost her.  Maybe you’ve been trying to be a mom for years and it’s depressing that you aren’t there yet.  Whatever your day brings, I hope you find peace and contentment in your day today!
