It’s not quite dinnertime and I’m DONE.
Ryan has this rash, a side effect from the, uh, digestive issues he has been having the last two weeks or so. Still no answers there, but at least he’s holding down his formula again, and not just Pedialyte. But his butt… ouchie. Poor boy.
So I’ve been slathering him in cream, although I am pretty sure the doctor will give him a prescription tomorrow. That also means I’ve been using disposables instead of cloth, it’s just easier. Most creams aren’t very good with cloth diapers, and I don’t feel like messing with liners and all that. But every time he’s the slightest bit wet, he cries to be changed, poor baby.
Anyway, we ran out of disposable diapers and cream, so I loaded up all the kids and ran to WalMart to grab them. Once I’m out of the house, I like to wander, so I did a loop of the whole store, taking my time. I found the cream and diapers eventually and went to check out- only to realize I left my debit card at home. DOH!
Then, just a bit ago, Lili was sitting at the kitchen table doing her homework, as usual. For whatever reason, she and Mia decided that our dog was missing. We keep her in our back yard, which has a locked gate and is totally fenced. She’s not the best behaved dog, so the thought of her running free around the neighborhood gives me heartburn.
I see the girls put on their shoes and coats and I asked them what they were doing. I reminded Lili she needed to get her homework done. She tells me how she’s taking care of her responsibilities and going to ask the neighbor to help her find the dog. Um? Hello, kid. I’m right here. I think you and the dog are more my responsibility than the neighbor’s!
The dog was in our backyard, hiding behind a bush. I’m assuming she was avoiding the girls.
It’s been a typical Monday around here to say the least!
Your reward for reading about Ryan’s bum is a cute picture of Dylan.
Moving on…
I have some stuff up my sleeves here at the blog. I am planning a big 1st Birthday Bash for the boys, and I’m currently accepting sponsors. If you have a product or service you think would be appropriate and would like me to feature it in June, please email me at TaterTwins@gmail.com with more info.
Also, I’m looking for a few good bloggers for a little project I’m working on. Drop me a line if you’re interested! Thanks
I woke up today, and felt like baking. I thought about how I should bake something super cool and yummy and take pics and blog about it, so that I have more than the one recipe to share with you all. All the cool bloggers do it. But then, I decided I NEEDED more Black Bottom Cupcakes, so you get no new recipe today.
When it comes to food, I tend to be a creature of habit. I make the same few things over and over. In high school, my mom packed my lunch every day and it was always a ham and cheese sandwich. I guess I stick with what I like. I am such a picky eater that sometimes there aren’t many options that sound appetizing to me.
Today’s been a lazy day. We haven’t left the house, let alone dressed- we’re all still in our jammies. We should be doing laundry and packing for Philly- we have to leave soon. More chemo and lasers to the eyes. Good times. I hope it’s not too cold and I really hope it doesn’t snow!
The twins went in for their monthly RSV shot yesterday and Ryan is up to 17 pounds! He was stuck at 16 for the past couple months, so I’m happy. He’s been eating a lot more lately too- I think he might be about to hit a growth spurt. Dylan on the other hand, is always in a growth spurt- and he’s 20 pounds already. Lili didn’t hit 20 pounds until she was 18 months old- so he’s a big guy. And weren’t they JUST 3 and 4 pounds the other day?
We got a package in the mail from Gymboree. I’d used my Gymbucks for some pants for the boys for next winter & also got them these cool hats for this summer. Dylan is such a little punk- he always looks like he has a bad attitude. He cracks me up. He looks so old here, I can’t even stand it.
I think they might be getting more teeth- Dylan has been chewing on everything and drooling gallons again. Ryan keeps using his tongue to feel his teeth and making weird faces when he does it. He also likes to make this clicking noise by rubbing his fingernails on his teeth. He’ll be laying there and we hear ‘click click click click’.
Oh! My not so exciting day at home just may be getting more interesting- something has possessed Aaron to attempt to bathe the dog. She hasn’t been washed since she was a puppy, and we always did it outside. He’s putting her in the tub. Also, she hates water- won’t go in her pool, the ocean, hides when it rains… I may be back with a funny story and some pictures!
