Long time no post!

I’ve been in New York visiting my big guys since Saturday, and I am having a blast.  I love these kids.  Also?  Big kids are SO much easier than little ones… they wipe their own butts, you don’t need to cut up their food, and they don’t wake up 3 times a night.

I haven’t picked up my camera once- I haven’t even taken it out of my bag.  I’m surprised B hasn’t pulled it out,  last time he didn’t put it down, and the majority of the pictures I had from the visit were taken by him.

I this this trip has been great for all of us- without the little four kids here, I’ve been able to really concentrate and talk to the big ones.  When we’re all together, it’s hard to do that without interruptions and chaos.  It’s been great bonding with them.   I am totally going to try to do this more often.

Aaron has been having fun with the little ones.  The girls have had school all this week, so he’s been doing the stuff I do each week… getting everyone up and on the bus, dealing with the twins all day… grocery shopping.  I think he likes being a stay at home dad :)

Hello!!

So we’ve arrived safely in NY… and 99% of the time one of my big kids has commandeered my laptop for their own usage.  Kinda makes it hard to blog, you know?

I do have some pictures to share, and some reviews and giveaways to post… as soon as I get a few minutes :)   In the meantime, I’m going to attempt to use my computer for the few minutes I am allotted to find some fun free stuff for us to do while we’re here.

Philly Trip #2

Ryan’s chemo went great this time- he really didn’t exhibit any side effects! He spent the whole time smiling and laughing and even in the days following he was acting and eating normal!

We stayed at a different hotel this time- and it was fabulous. It was older, but clean- and the rooms were HUGE. That was the best part. We got a two room suite with a king bed, pull out couch, and kitchenette for just a couple dollars more a night than the one we stayed in last time. We were about the same distance from the Children’s Hospital as well, except we weren’t right in the city. The drawback to that was I couldn’t go exploring as easily as I did last time while Aaron had the car at the hospital.

The first day of chemo, we took everyone with us, since the main reason for bringing the girls along was so that they could see the hospital and the whole process. The girls were bored at first while we waited for the doctor to do all the pre-chemo stuff- questions, blood work, growth checks, etc. But once we got back to the day hospital where they administer the meds, they had a blast in the playroom.

Lili met and befriended this adorable little girl who was her age. She was there the whole week for her treatments. Our original plan was that the three extra kids stay in the hotel during the second day, however Lili wanted to go back and play with her new friend again. So on day two, Lili, Aaron and Ryan all went to the hospital while Dylan and Mia stayed with me at the hotel.

Friday night we drove the extra couple hours to my mom’s house in NY and spend Saturday with her and my oldest three. All seven kids had a blast, and it even snowed! We never get snow down here so the girls were very excited to play outside in it :)

Argh :(

Easter is April 12th.
That is Connor’s day.
I will be 24w 1d.

I tend to have babies or be on bedrest by then.

The kids’ spring break is the week of Easter.
I was supposed to go to NY that week.

I seriously doubt I’ll be able to :(

Are there any long weekends between now and then?

Thanksgiving

I talked to my parents today, and told them both I am pregnant. I haven’t told the boys- I don’t want to get them excited/nervous whatever. Especially Ethan, he gets really upset when we have a loss. I’ll wait until I’m further along and we’ve at least had an ultrasound.
