WW: Planes, Trains & Automobiles

I know I already did a (semi)wordless Wednesday post, but this morning this is what the boys have been doing:

Please pretend you can’t see the breakfast mess on the floor that needs to be swept up.

They line up all their vehicles and make a train.  These are their bigger cars and stuff- they also do it with their Matchbox sized cars, DVD cases, and just about anything really.  Then they run and jump over it.  They’ll do this for the longest time, it’s so funny.

Also?  Just now as I’m typing this, the photo scrolled off of the page and Ryan is trying vigorously using his fingers to scroll it back- Sorry buddy, it’s not a touchscreen!

Cheap Entertainment

When Irene hit, we had no power for a weekend, and no cable or internet for a week or so.  We were getting pretty bored and forced to entertain ourselves with what we had on hand…

Perhaps we should invest in some board games before the next storm.

Only My Kids

I was walking down the hall this morning, and came across some Barbie carnage  laying on the floor.  I asked the girls why they didn’t throw away the broken dolls when we were sorting through toys to move to the new house, and they had no answer.  So I told them to pick them up and throw them in the trash now, because really, what do they need with several naked headless Barbies?

Their response?  But MOM!  What if we want to play zombies?

40 Winks

The boys fell asleep in the living room tonight.  Both of them- which is slightly unusual.  Quite often, one or the other will fall asleep before we put them in bed, however for the two of them to do so pretty much simultaneously is rare.   They’ve never been big on being on the same schedule.

Ryan dozed off on the floor, among all his toys.  Aside from the fact he’s a night owl and he went to sleep at an early hour, this is rather normal.  He often passes out for naps surrounded by toys.  I did find it amusing that he didn’t wake when Aaron picked him up to put him in his crib.

Dylan on the other hand- well his choice of sleeping location was nothing like his brother’s idea of laying on the carpet on his belly.  Nope, he’s a different one, that guy.  While the couch seems like a completely normal and rational choice, Dylan has to do it differently.

Things Found in Ryan’s Pajamas

Aside from Ryan, I mean.

Today I kept seeing him do this:

and I thought to myself, what the heck?

A little while later, I changed his diaper and found several things floating around in his feetie jammies.

It seems we’ve got a little collector on our hands.  He had quite the stash!

I grabbed my point & shoot to take the above pictures- I haven’t used it much since I’m trying to learn how to use my DSLR.  In fact, the last photos on the memory card that *I* took were from the weekend of the USMC Ball back in November.  However, there were several pictures I didn’t take…

There were more, but you get the idea.

Coming soon:  The fine art of the tantrum.
